Trudy Jones

Contemporary Eastern Shore VA landscape painter Trudy Jones has always been involved in all things artistic. She’s been fortunate to have had early strong support and continues to study with instructors who strengthen her artist voice and mature her style. She also attributes painting regularly with fellow artists’ friends to be a very important part of her success. Early on she was introduced to art history and later encouraged to paint, finding landscape painting to be her passion. Trudy likes to say, “if it has a tree in the scene, I’m hooked”. In recent weeks Trudy’s focus has been on smaller, simpler interpretations of the subject and less construction complexity. She’s enjoying the new challenge that telling the story in the fewest shapes and colors possible brings.
