Nicola Cornford

Nicola started her love affair with clay aged 15 at school in Brighton, England. However, her passion was not rekindled until she moved to Virginia Beach in the USA, 15 years ago where she took ceramic classes at MOCA. At the end of 2020, Nicola carved out a corner of her garage and bought a kiln. It was then her adventure of experimentation, exploration, and pushing the boundaries of what was possible really started.
Nicola started to submit artwork to local and national juried exhibitions in 2022 and has won awards for several of her artworks including Best in Show for Beneath the Waves in 2022. Her work has been featured in World of Interiors and House and Garden magazines .
