Most images that fill my paintings are inspired by hiking, biking, camping and traveling. Through observation and photographs I convey my interpretations of our constantly changing landscape. To me there is more to a painting than simple representation. Painted images may evoke a memory, nostalgia, isolation or a strong emotion. Whether close up or far away I combine my love of nature with my passion for painting.
