Sandy is a resident artist at the Smithfield (VA) Art Center@319. She has been painting for 30+ years, retiring from a 38-year career in administration at Old Dominion University to become a full-time artist. She co-chaired the 2021, 2022, and 2024 Suffolk Plein Air Festivals. She teaches a variety of art classes to students of all ages and abilities and has travelled around Virginia and North Carolina as well as to France, Italy, and Mexico, to paint. sandywatersart.com
