This farm girl left the beautiful Valley for the big city.  She graduated from VCU where she met a lot of folks unlike her people at home…and loved it.

She built her career as a creative in advertising. Her tenure as an art director earned her countless awards both nationally and internationally.

For the past decade Freda has been weening herself from the
constraints of those pesky clients in order to pursue her love of fine art. From glassblowing, to printmaking to mixed media, her work is driven by concept, guided by her sense of design and honed by her long career as a visual communicator.
